Marie Beren, a Judge of Elections in Philadelphia and Democrat ward leader, accepted bribes from Michael "Ozzie" Myers, political consultant and former Democrat Congressman, to add fraudulent ballots to voting machines and falsely certify election results for certain Democrat candidates in various primary and general elections between 2014 and 2018. According to a DOJ press release "Myers admitted that he gave Beren directions to add votes to candidates supported by him, including candidates for judicial office whose campaigns actually hired Myers, and other candidates for various federal, state, and local elective offices preferred by Myers for a variety of reasons." She pleaded guilty to charges of depriving persons of civil rights, bribery, falsification of voting records, and conspiring to illegally vote in a federal election. She will be sentenced in August.
