Angelica Maria Francisco, an illegal alien, was charged by federal authorities in Alabama with nine criminal counts in connection with her fraudulent assumption of the identity of a U.S. citizen. Franciso, a Guatemalan, used the citizen’s name, date of birth, and social security number to illegally obtain a passport. In 2016, Francisco used the false identity to register to vote in Alabama. She fraudulently voted in Alabama's 2016 primary election, the 2016 general election, the 2020 primary runoff election, and the 2020 general election. Francisco was charged with one count of false statements in application for a passport, one count of aggravated identity theft for renewing the illegally obtained passport, five counts of use of a passport obtained by a false statement, and two counts of false claim of citizenship to register or vote. She pled guilty on all counts and awaits sentencing.
